The Yale Program in Iranian Studies (YPIS) is delighted to announce that the Persian Heritage Foundation of California (PHF) has generously committed to full funding for the continuation of the Ehsan Yarshater Postdoctoral Fellowship in Iranian Studies at Yale for the duration of four years (2021-2025). The Yarshater Postdoctoral Fellow will be appointed through an international search. Qualified applicants in all fields related to Iranian and Persian studies are eligible to apply. The announcement for the 2021-2022 fellowship should appear in October 2020.
The two recipients of PHF Ehsan Yarshater Postdoctoral Fellowship are Dr. Nahid Siamdoust (2017-2019) and Dr. Farbod Honarpisheh (2019-2021). Dr. Siamduoust is a cultural anthropologist specializing in contemporary Iranian music, media and culture. Dr. Farbod Honarpisheh is a specialist of Iranian (and non-Western) cinema.
