How might art stir up communal consciousness about the adverse effects of pollution?

Earlier this month, on September 7th, the Iranian Studies Program was pleased to host artist and independent curator from Tehran, Negar Farajiani, who addressed this topic along with her broader artistic goals. Her talk, “The Role of Art in the Evolution of Social Participation in Public Spaces,” detailed two projects: “Tehran Monoxide Project” and “Made in China”, which have grown over the years to reach international audiences and attention.
